This cute little kitten was designed in 1926 for the Rosenthal porcelain company. Based on the mark, this model was made between 1943 and 1948. It features a playful white kitten playing on top of a gold ball. The kitten’s eyes and nose are subtly painted. The stamped mark is surrounded by the embossed mark often used by Rosenthal after 1925.
This piece comes from the estate of Phil’s mother. She was mainly a collector of glass, but also had an extensive collection of animal figurines that were purchased over many years.
SIZE: To the top of its tail, this figurine measures 2 1/4" tall. Diameter of the base is about 1 1/2".
CONDITION: There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain. There are a couple of very small, faint scratches in the gold. Overall, this figurine is in excellent condition.
