This delicate cordial glass features a shape that was designed by the Moser Company in the mid 1890s. Since it isn’t signed, we can’t guarantee this was made by Moser, but the shape was definitely originally theirs. This glass is absolutely beautiful. The long bowl is shaped with four lobes, each of which has a decorated panel. The decoration was first engraved and then painted with gold and silver. The applied stem has a very attractive shape, and the base is engraved and decorated with gold and silver to match the bowl. All the way around, this is a wonderful piece of late 19th century Bohemian glass.
This comes from the estate of Phil’s mom, who was a passionate collector of American Brilliant cut glass and other fine art glass.
SIZE: This glass is 4 3/4" tall. Diameter at the base is 2 1/4" while diameter at the top rim is 2 1/8”.
CONDITION: Amazingly, after over 100 years of life, this delicate glass is in excellent condition. We see no cracks, chips or significant scratches. There is some rubbing of the gold and silver; we’d say the gold and silver is about 85-90% intact.
