This delicate little cordial appears to have been made specially for someone and was probably part of a larger set at one time. We only have one, but it’s a lovely one. The bowl and base are made of a very pale green glass, while the stem is clear. The stem was blown with a perfect pattern of spun glass inside. The bowl has enameled initials on one side; we are not sure what the initials are, but they make a beautiful decoration. The rims of top and base, and the top and bottom of the stem are banded in gold. There is the letter “M” (or W?) painted on the bottom but no other marks. Imagine drinking your after dinner dessert wine out of this little beauty!
This comes from the estate of Phil’s mom, who was a passionate collector of American Brilliant cut glass and other fine art glass.
SIZE: Height is 4 1/8”. Diameter at the base is 1 3/8” and at the top is 1 1/4”.
