This lovely three legged perfume bottle was surely treasured by its owner. It was made around the turn of the last century in the Bohemian region. The bottle appears to be clear glass that is flashed cranberry on the inside. The three legs are applied; they also are clear glass painted gold. A decorative collar is applied to the top, also painted gold. The lid is clear and painted gold with an enameled bee on top. The body of the bottle is enameled with gold curling stems and green leaves. Colorful flowers and a happy bee are carefully enameled amidst the gold. The number “2811” is painted on the polished pontil. What a beautiful way to store a special scent.
This comes from the estate of Phil’s mom, who was a passionate collector of American Brilliant cut glass and other fine art glass.
SIZE: The bottle is about 3 3/4" high to the top of the lid (about 3” without the lid). It is about 2” in diameter at its widest part and 1 1/4" at the top.
CONDITION: Two of the feet have a small chip on their bottom edge. The gold on the lid has largely rubbed away; as has the bee on the lid. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks or scratches in the glass. The enameling and gold on the bottle are in excellent condition.
