Although small, the artist who created this little goat captured the spirit perfectly; what goat doesn’t like to be as high as it can, no matter how small the surface it’s standing on? It was made in 1946. The initials F v G are impressed on the top of the base; we have not determined who the artist was. The number 150 is impressed into the bottom of the base above the mark. It is glazed in all white which gives it a simple elegance.
This piece comes from the estate of Phil’s mother. She was mainly a collector of glass, but also had an extensive collection of animal figurines that were purchased over many years.
