This little perfume bottle was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s or 30s. It was sold as a purse perfume. This one has a beautifully detailed filigree metal “cage”. The front features white enameled flowers and a large purple glass jewel in the middle. Two small, light purple jewels are set on either side of the large one. There are two small light purple jewels on the shoulders as well. The top is surrounded by a decorative metal band and features another purple jewel on top. “Czechoslovakia” is impressed on the metal band. The top screws on to the base. A cork with attached glass dauber is inside the top.
SIZE: This perfume bottle is about 2 1/4 inches high, 1 3/4 inches wide, and 1/2 inch deep.
CONDITION: The jewels are in excellent condition, with no visible chips or cracks. The enamel is also in excellent condition. The metal cage has some darkening and corrosion at the very top; this can also be seen at the bottom of the lid’s metal band. There is evidence of repair on the lower left side. Otherwise the metal is in nice condition and displays well. The cork is a little loose under the lid, but the dauber is complete and in good condition, as is the glass bottle.
