This is a Linemar toy, which was the Japanese arm of the Marx Toy Company. Linemar made many toys for different companies, including TPS. Linemar may have also made a similar bulldozer, the MB 16, carrying the Yonezowa trademark.
Put a C-cell battery in this toy and watch the wonderful action. This is a bump ‘n go toy meaning that when forward progress is stopped, the toy will move in a different direction. Watching the driver shift the gears as he changes direction just looks so realistic.
Check out the lithography: great detail on the treads and motor.
Size: 5 ½ inches long; 3 inches wide at the plow; 3 ½ inches high at the driver’s hat
Condition: Little play wear. There is some rubbing to the driver’s overalls on his right leg (possibly from shifting gears. Edge-wear exists all around, and there are a couple of dings on the bottom.
The colors are bright, and the painting detailed.
This is an all tin toy, except the wheel traction and smoke stack.
Just a marvelous example.
