The vibrant tango yellow of this vase will brighten even your darkest winter day. It was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s or 30s. The hand blown shape is tall and elegant. The base and top flare out; the top has been scalloped to look like a flower. The glass is in two layers; the inside layer is bright yellow. The outside is cased in clear glass with really makes that yellow pop. A blue ribbon of glass was applied as a spiral going up the vase. Blue glass was also applied along the edge of the rim. We are not able to find a mark on the base of this vase but it is unmistakably early 20th Czech glass.
SIZE: Height is about 9 1/8 inches. Diameter at the base is 3 3/8 inches and at the rim about 3 3/4 inches.
CONDITION: There are scratches on the base. Otherwise, this vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. Most importantly, the applied blue glass decoration is 100% intact, which is not always the case!
