This Chein bank is from the early 1900s. So what makes this bank special? IT HAS THE CHEIN LOGO!!! And I can tell you there aren’t many of these around. I’ve only seen three in 20 years of collecting Chein banks.

Chein made three different size Child’s Safe Banks. This is the middle size. And it is the only one on which I have ever seen the Chein logo.

Size: 3 7/8 inches tall; 2 ¾ inches wide; 2 ½ inches deep

Condition: The bank has some scrapes and some bends to the metal. The writing on the door isn’t square. Also, the door doesn’t stay closed. It will need some adjustment. The one in our collection has the door closed and I can’t open it for fear of damaging the bank. So open may be better.
