This fun inkwell was made in the 1920s and 30s in Czechoslovakia. It is made of clear glass, molded into the shape of a long eared bulldog. The collar and hinge are metal. The eyes, mouth and bow were painted to give him a wonderfully endearing expression.
SIZE: This inkwell measures 2 3/4” long, 1 1/2” wide and 3 3/4” high.
CONDITION: The glass is in very good to excellent condition. There is a bit of roughness around the edges of the front paws, but there are no visible chips or cracks in the glass. The hinge is strong. There is some surface corrosion on the collar. The paint on the face is mostly intact while some of the paint on the bow is missing.
Overall, this is in great condition considering its age.
