This is an early (1928 to 1949) bowl with a rather uncommon pattern made by the Moorcroft pottery company. The pattern is “Berries and Leaf;” it features a lovely fall colored leaf surrounded by blue, purple and red berries. The background of the inside of the bowl is a pale green shading to cream. The outside is that distinctive Moorcroft cobalt blue. Because the rim is turned in at the top, the pattern is framed nicely with the blue. The base is marked with the W. Moorcroft signature, Made in England, and impressed Potter to HM The Queen.
SIZE: This pretty little bowl measures 1 1/2" high. It is about 4 1/2" in diameter.
CONDITION: There are no chips, cracks or scratches on this bowl. There is some glaze crazing, which is typical of older pottery.
