A lot of information can be found on the Internet about Fontaine Fox and his Toonerville. There were at least three different versions made of the Trolley as toys: one runs on track, a windup made by Nifty, and this one. There is a reproduction version and a lead version too. Maybe more.
The penny toy version was made in Germany and post 1922, since the trolley is marked “Copyright Fontaine Fox 1922” and “Germany”.
Size: 1 ¾ inches tall; 1 ½ inches long; ¾ inch wide
Condition: The colors are bright. There is some rust to the axles which could be removed. The part that would attach to the overhead electric line is bent. It could be straightened but there is chance of damaging it.
Overall, we would call this at least a 9 out of 10.
