The hottest toy category on the planet now and for the past several years, has been space toys. Mint, broken, parts—you name it, they cost a lot. Why? Because they go where no one will get to go again for a long time. So we live in the fantasy of what could be, should be, but just isn't happening. You can own a piece of the very future history, albeit only about four inches in diameter.
And that's what we have here. Made in Western Germany: a friction saucer. Never mind that the best rocket scientists of the 20th century were German born. They didn't make toys for the public, but used their talents for other missions.
This is just a toy, even though we wish it be more. Push it and watch the center of the saucer spin. The antennae move in a circular pattern around the base.
Size: 4 inches in diameter; 1 ½ inches to the peak of the center. Overall height with antennae is 3 ½ inches.
Condition: A few of these have been discovered recently. So a few can be found that have never been played with. This is one. It is mint as is the box.
Get one in this condition while you can. Be a part of the fantasy history that hasn't happened yet. (Note: We have ours in our collection!)
