This is the second of our beautiful little Moorcroft bowls. Are they nut bowls? Open salts? We don't know, but we love them! The deep blue background sets off the pinks, purples and greens of the columbine design which nestles so perfectly in this bowl. Imagine offering your guest their own little Moorcroft bowl, each with a different pattern. Or... imagine a row of them on display in a cabinet, offering viewers a glimpse of the different patterns Moorcroft has to offer. The base is marked with the impressed and stamped MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND. We are unsure of manufacturing date, but the type of mark indicates it was made sometime after 1918 and before 1953.
SIZE: This little bowl has a diameter at the top of 3", while the base diameter is 1 3/4". It measures 1 ¼" high.
CONDITION: This bowl is in very good condition. There is a tiny spot where glaze is missing on the edge of the base – less than 1mm. There is some of the usual crazing, mainly visible on the white base. Otherwise, there are no cracks or chips. The colors are vibrant and wonderful. This is a sweet little example of Moorcroft work. Please see item #1243 for a matching bowl in the Orchid pattern.
We also offer gift wrapping and complimentary gift card. Just ask!
