Here's a wonderful older piece of Bohemian-Czech glass. Shaped like a goblet, it probably was meant to be used as a vase. It features a glorious emerald green glass, cased in white that is beautifully cut to bring out the contrast in colors. Pink roses and foliage are painted around the bowl, while a ring of spring posies decorates the top of the base. Gold rings embellish the short stem and the top. The cuts on this piece are careful, precise and even. The painting is nicely done. Picture a bunch of pink roses – the old fashioned kind – crowning this lovely piece of glass!
SIZE: This vase measures 6 5/8" tall. The diameter at the top is 3 3/8" while the base has a diameter of 3 1/8" . CONDITION: The condition of this vase is excellent. There are no chips, cracks or scratches in the glass. The green aura showing in some of the pictures is reflection from the inside of the glass. The white portion of the vase is bright white. The enameled flowers and gold trim are bright and vivid.
This wonderful vase would love to be displayed in a special place... possibly in your home?
