This bright and cheerful vase was made in Czechoslovakia in the first to middle part of the 20th century. It was hand blown in three layers. The inside layer is bright red. Swirls of white class were layered on the red and then a clear glass layer was added on the outside, giving the vase a brilliant glow. A ribbon of black glass was applied around the rim. The shape is slender and elegant. The top was pulled out and shaped like a flower. The base is marked Made in Czechoslovakia.
SIZE: Height is about 7 5/8 inches. Diameter at the base is about 3 1/4 inches while diameter at the top is 4 3/4 inches.
CONDITION: Condition of this beautiful piece of glass is excellent. There are bubbles in the glass, which is typical of Czech glass. There are no chips, cracks or scratches – other than some rubbing on the base.
