My mother had a friend who whenever she didn't know what to say to someone that might have a different situation or look, she would say "Bless Your Heart," or "Bless her heart" if she was just telling someone else. That was my first thought when I saw this great real picture postcard.
This 'stately' young woman looks like she is weighted down with her outer clothing. With her long dress to the floor, she has on a heavy coat that is not much shorter than her dress. Just look at those big puffy sleeves. Then wrapped up to her neck, she has what looks like a large collar and fox tails or some kind of furs hanging as long as where her hands drop down...which by the way shows that her sleeves are a bit long as well.
Her rather stern look is a bit camouflaged by the shadow of her large hat with many feathers. I don't know where she is heading, but she's sure dressed for the trip!
I would say this is a very early postcard from the style of the furniture and accessories in the background. Also, look at the textured design on the old rug on the floor. This is an unused real photo postcard, and it says Acme Post Card with a seal which I guess is their logo. The background is light so that the image of this dear soul stands out. This card has been preserved in plastic, and has very little wear at all. If you love interesting real picture postcards or vintage photographs which show the latest in vintage fashions, I think you'll love this one!
