SALE on pair of Framed Prints With Religious Significance Wallace Collection!!! I purchased these two interesting framed prints at an estate sale in W. KY this past week. The daughter of the estate owner said that her mother was living in New York in the 1930's when she purchased these, but she believes she bought them while in Europe traveling.
I don't have a lot of information about these prints except what is on the back of them. The one on the left with the little boy and the lamb says the following on the back: "Wallace Collection...Reynolds 48...St. John in the Wilderness."
Look at the large hands and upper body of the lady on the right. Very regal in attire, she has jewels from top to bottom, and a very serious, stately look. There are letters printed on the top of the print that I can't quite make out. Hopefully you can read them when you maximize the pictures. The back of this one reads: "Wallace Collection...Bronzino...555 Eleonora di Toledo."
These framed prints measure only 4" x 5 1/4". They are encased in glass with original gold tape that is meant to look like a frame. The tape is a bit torn on the lady's frame. They are bound in the back so that you can either hang them or set them up with the attached easel. They are quite delicate, and a part of her many treasures that she had from her travels as a young woman. She is now in assisted living and these are from her estate.
I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed.
