SALE The child in this beautiful Early 1900's German Embossed Santa Postcard looks so much like a Brundage painting, but I find no markings other than the fact that it was Made in Germany. She has little blond curls, rosy pink cheeks, and those large eyes that Brundage is so famous for. Santa looks so very kind as well, and although he is in a red fur trimmed coat and hat, his mittens are a blue green color. His eyes looking intently at the little girl make you wonder what she might be thinking about. And is that possibly a cane of some kind that she is holding onto? If so, that might explain the compassionate look that Santa has, with his snow white eyebrows and long beard. The message is a simple "Wishing You A Merry Christmas" in the top left corner, and although it was written on by "Mother" and addressed to go to the Galt Club in Canada, it was never postally stamped. This is just a wonderful foreign Santa Postcard that I was able to purchase in Florida from one of my favorite Christmas postcard sellers there! I have sold 12 of the ones I purchased, and hope to get the rest of them listed soon, so please check back for more wonderful examples of early Santa Postcards. You won't be disappointed to add them to your collection!
