SALE Straight from the very early 1900's, this Embossed Christmas Postcard features an adorable little girl with a bonnet as big as she is, carrying her doll on one arm and touching the candlelit Christmas tree with her other hand. She has a head full of ringlet curls, and the sweetest pink gathered dress. Not sure if she has a French or German baby doll, but she too has a bonnet and is wearing a long gown. The colors on this postcard are more like the Victorian Christmas colors with a peachy pink glow on the left hand side. There's lots of gold gilt, including a 6 pointed star towards the bottom center. Just to the right of "Christmas Greetings" at the bottom, you can faintly read the number "3632." I love the real candles that they actually lit on the tree, and the red balls you see almost look like they could be fruit, perhaps plums or pomegranates. This postcard has been written on in pencil on the back, and it's showing wrinkles and wear to the edges. I just could not pass it up though, as I love to find the old ones with the Antique dolls the little girls played with! I believe you will like it too.
I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed. I have lots more postcards, photos, CDVs and Cabinet Cards, so you may want to browse a bit before checking out. There is no insurance offered for postcards, but it will come with free tracking, and I will pack it between cardboard so it doesn't get bent any more.
Thanks so much for shopping with me, and God Bless You! May we honor Him in all we say and do!
***There is no insurance or tracking for First Class International, so I cannot be responsible for packages once they leave my hands. Also, due to previous issues with Non-delivery, etc., I no longer ship to Thailand or Russia.***
