SALE Take a look at this 1890's Sterling Silver Florida Demitasse Souvenir Spoon from Tarpon Springs, and manufactured by Campbell Metcalf Silver Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1892 by Ernest Campbell and Joseph Metcalf, the Silver Co. went out of business in the late 1890's, so it lasted less than a decade. This spoon was so black that I couldn't see any markings, so I used some Non-Abrasive cleaner just to get it where I could read the maker and see the location on the bowl of the spoon. The handle is a Palm Tree with waving branches at the top, and is just so sweet! One of my favorite places to visit is in Naples, Florida, and I believe Tarpon Springs must be close. Since many people love the natural patina, I will leave any additional cleaning or polishing to the new owner. This dainty little demitasse spoon is only 3 3/4" long.
This souvenir spoon belongs to a lady in her 90's here in KY who has had to move to a skilled nursing facility, and the profits from her sales is helping to pay for her day to day needs and care. I have listed other souvenir spoons plus some other sterling flatware, jewelry, and other items from her estate, so please take a look before you check out. All purchases will be a blessing to her, and a treat for yourself!
