SALE I believe this Early 1900's Studio Matted Photograph of 4 Children, most likely Siblings, may be German. The hard cardboard mat reads H. Hemmelskamp Bad Rothenfeld." At first glance, I thought this was probably 4 sisters, but I believe the chair may be a baby brother, just wearing a lacy white dress that boys often were dressed in oh so many years ago! The other 3 girls also have long locks of curls, two blonds, and one brunette, all wearing big bows in their hair that probably match the bows on their look alike dresses. From the lack of excitement on their faces, chances are they have been posing for quite sometime while awaiting the flash to heat up. They all have on high top black shoes, and they all are just adorable. I have a weakness for old photographs of children, so when I saw these that I believe are probably from the same family, I had to have it. The black mat, which has some wear, is 8 3/4" x 6" and the photograph itself is 5 1/2" x 4". It is in great condition other than what looks like a pencil mark on the right side. You won't be disappointed to add this to your collection of vintage and antique photos.
