SALE I love, love this Art Deco Filigree Aqua or Robin's Egg Blue Glass Cabochon brooch Marked "Made in Czechoslovakia." I really had to hunt for the mark, but I could feel it on the side of the actual pin, so finally was able to make it out yesterday. As many of these Czech glass brooches, this one is bezel set into what appears to be an antiqued brass filigree. Amazing to me, the back is awesomely beautiful too, showing more of the filigree design. It is rectangular in shape, and the corners are diagonally cut, making it actually an octagon. It has the very old C clasp, and this is probably from the 1920's, perhaps 1930's. The smooth and wonderful blue glass stone is domed, and it is just stunning! At first, I thought it might be a turquoise with no striations, but when I could finally read the marking on the pin, I knew it was just another example of the sought after Czech glass. You won't be disappointed to add this to your collection of fine Art Deco or Czech glass jewelry! It measures app. 1 5/16" East to West and 1" North to South. Because of the domed shape of the stone, it also has depth to it from the pin to the front of the glass.
