SALE Look at this great old quilt that is probably from the 1940's, hand stitched, pieced, and quilted in the Fan design with bright, bold colors! The bright green is similar to another quilt that I just sold, and it's such a great background color for all those old fabrics, many of which remind me of the day dresses my grandmother used to work inside and outside! There is one place that I have pictured where one of the blocks needs to be repaired, and I think that could be done by just whipping those raw edges together. There are also some places along the outer trim where the material has worn, but if you wanted to, you could even put a new piece of binding in one of the bright colors of the quilt pieces, and you would never know the difference. It isn't perfect, but it's awfully nice!!! I have pictured spots that you might find, but again, nothing major. It's just wonderful to find these old hand crafted quilts in all the old fabrics, and this one is sure to please! Greens, Reds, Blues, Purples, Yellows, Pinks and many more, this is a great and colorful quilt in an old fashioned popular pattern! If you look at where the points of the Fans meet, it could almost pass as a Bow Tie Quilt, but I do believe this is actually a Fan pattern.
The quilt measures 80" x 64 1/2" and it is ready to display with your favorite quilts, or use as a spread for either a girl or boy's room! You won't be disappointed to add to your collection of vintage and antique quilts! The blocks are 7" square, and there are app. 7 stitches per inch.
I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed. I have more quilts at the antique mall I can list, plus maybe one or two in my shop, so please take a look. Plus, I am always on the lookout for great old quilts when I can find them as nice as this one! In fact, I'm headed to another KY Estate auction tonight, so perhaps I will have more tomorrow!
Thanks so much for shopping with me, and God Bless You ! May we honor Him in all we say and do!
