SALE Look at this adorable early 1900's Valentine Postcard entitled "Cupid in Chains" inside the red heart. This little girl, dressed in what looks like a bride dress complete with her long veil, is pulling Cupid by a chain of flowers that look like roses. Her dress looks like what the French fashion dolls wore, with the dropped waist, lace around the hem, and puffy sleeves. She has on crisp little white socks and shoes, and is looking over her shoulder to make sure Cupid is still behind her.
This postcard was mailed to Miss Dorothy Sweeney in Jeffersontown, KY, and although it's hard to make out the year postmarked on the one cent stamp, I believe it says Feb. 11, 1910. It was sent by Cousin Carrie. The condition is quite good, especially to be more than 100 years old, and I love the gold gilding or whatever you might call the satin gold colored finish. If you love the early postcards, or Early Valentines, you will probably want to add this one to your collection!
I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed. I have lots of postcards, including some recently added ones and more to come from my last buying trip, so please check back often.
**I can ship several postcards for nearly the same amount as mailing one. There's no insurance allowed for mailing postcards, so the $1.05 in the insurance section will take care of TRACKING.**
Thanks so much for shopping with me, and God Bless YoU! May we honor Him in all we say and do!
