Just imagine being in the Pit Area of the 1950's Indianapolis 500 Mile Speedway, and you get the drift of this great postcard which features advertisement for the Mobil/Mobiloil Products in the forefront! As explained on the back, the mechanics and drivers are making their last minute checks on the engines and pit equipment before they are placed into starting position for the big race! It also says "Ansco Color by J. Herbert Elliott." It was published by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation. This unused card is divided in half with these markings: "Dextone Made Direct from Kodachrome and Ansco Color By Dexter Press, Pearl River, N. Y."
Condition is great! The corners are rounded and there's hardly any wear at all. I love seeing the Mobil Oil Cans up front, along with the man in what must be the Mobil Uniform of that time. Look at those mechanics. Their white white uniforms look like they never came into any contact with grease. Wonder who won this race??!
