SALE This Early Redware Ovoid Jar With lots of Black Manganese coloring is the last of 4 pieces I have available from an Indiana Estate. This is a spectacular piece in amazingly awesome condition since it is very early, most likely from the 19th century. The owners I am consigning it for are downsizing for a move, and I believe reluctantly are selling some of their Antique Redware pieces, most of which they acquired from Garth's in Louisville, KY.

Standing 6 1/2" tall, there are only a few pinhead size places around the top rim, and otherwise, no chips other than one I just now see on the bottom footed rim, and it really isn't bad at all either. I looked at so many pieces of Redware at the Nashville Antique Shows last week, so that I could compare what some were selling for, and even with the variance in prices, so many of the pieces had a lot of wear, which would probably be consistent with the soft clay and the age. But this one is a winner!! There are two incised rings on what I guess would be called the shoulder, and the top is flared. It is 4 1/2" across the top edge, app. 17" around the widest portion of the jar, and 4 1/2" across the bottom. If you love the old Redware, this is a piece that you will be proud to add to your collection. Please take a look at all the pictures, as I have turned the jar slightly to show you all the variance in decoration and color. It's just a fabulous piece!

Again, this is a consignment piece, so even dealer discounts will have to be approved by the present owners. If you are interested in making an offer on all 4 pieces as one lot, I will be happy to present that to them as well, but they are being listed individually for someone to be able to add a piece at a time to their collection. You won't be disappointed.

I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed. I have just returned from two buying trips, so will be trying to add lots of items as often as I can.

Thanks so much for shopping with me, and God Bless YoU! May we honor Him in all we say and do!

***There is no insurance or tracking available with First Class International Shipping, so please note that even though I will pack VERY CAREFULLY, I cannot be responsible for the package once it leaves my hands. Also, due to Non-delivery, etc., I no longer ship to Thailand or Russia.
