SALE Here is one adorable embossed postcard from 1911, featuring 4 cats and looks like a swing handle lidded basket out in the field. A couple of them may be kittens, and they are the ones that are wide awake and peering at something interesting, while the other two are lounging in the hay. In the bottom left corner, there are the numbers 7768, so this must have been one from a series, probably of other cat postcards.
Harry and Leroy just wrote their names on the left side, and it was addressed to Miss Erma(or Emma) Carr of Crossville, Ill. It has heavy embossing, and is postmarked 1911. The condition looks very, very good, with only the most minor wear to a very few places on the edge. The picture may show something on the right hand side, where I first thought there was a boo boo, but it was just something sticky that wiped right off, so it's all good.
If you love animal postcards, you are going to want to add this kitty cat family and a great old basket to your collection.
