SALE The look on this dog's face from the Early Schultz's Star Soap Trade Card, with two little Victorian girls, says it all! The older girl has robed the black dog, and is brushing its hair, while the other little girl sits watching from the floor, next to an old ball, tennis racket, and a black bird. I'm not sure what she has in her hand, but the sweet dog sort of looks like he has been through the ringer!
This early trade card advertises STAR SOAP, and at the bottom it says "Schultz's Soaps." It says it's best for family use, and you should ask your grocer for it. The makers were "Schultz & Co., The Soap Boilers" and the factory was in Zanesville, Ohio.
This great card measures 4 1/4" x 6" and is actually in great condition except for a small tear on the right hand side, and some wear to the edges. The colors are great, and I just love the subjects! If you are a lover of dogs, children, or just a collector or trade cards from the early 1900's, you won't want to miss this one. I will ship it in a stiff top load card holder, plus cardboard and plastic wrap so it won't get bent.
I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed. I have more trade cards, plus some wonderful early 1900's postcards, and quite a few could ship together for one shipping price to save you money.
Thanks so much for shopping with me, and God Bless You! May we honor Him in all we say and do!
***Due to problem with non-delivery and a package being returned to me after nearly 5 months, I no longer ship to Thailand. Also, I'm sorry, but I cannot ship to Russia...
