Take a look at this great old silver Native American Concho pin/brooch with Navajo markings. This one has the old C clasp, and although I cannot find a marking, I was assured by the antique dealer that this was sterling. I started not to clean it at all, but it was dark enough that the markings were not showing clearly, and I thought for sure I remembered seeing a mark when I purchased it, but have not found it. At any rate, if left alone, it will naturally age to the patina that it was, and what I used to clean it was a non abrasive cleaner for sterling.
It measures 1 7/8" across the back, and typical Navajo style, there are markings that are like petals plus others that you will recognize if you are used to seeing the Navajo pieces. I just thought it was such a cool piece to be worn with or without your favorite concho belt. The domed effect is just beautiful, as is the silver! I purchased this while on a buying trip across KY this past summer. The pin itself is a little bent, but that's usually not a big issue at all. It's a great piece, and I don't think you will be disappointed to add to your Native American jewelry collection.
