1966 DIE CUT MECHANICAL 3 D VALENTINE IN PASTELS WITH STEAM ENGINE TRAIN, ANGELS, ROSES AND MORE!
What a gorgeous 1966 Mechanical, Die Cut, 3 D Valentine's Day card this is with angels, a blue steam engine train, roses, lovebirds, gold gilt hearts and more! Made by Ambassador Cards, and signed "Love, Nancy 1966," this is a large and so intricately made work of art! The background is an ivory color with lots of gold gilt hearts and swirls/curlicues. Then when you begin to open it up to see all the layers that unfold, you find beautiful pink hearts and roses on the wheels of the train, angels with a blue posie garland that they are attaching to the train, and over the door on the farthest back foldout, we find, "Be My Valentine" with the "For you" message at the top.
This wonderful creation is large and reads on the front: "For You, Sweetheart Mother(added in pen), A Valentine card With an old-fashioned touch To tell you, Sweetheart, That I love you so much!" Signed by Nancy. This Ambassador card was made in the U.S. A., and it is still is remarkable condition with all the intricate details! A piece of tape was added at the bottom, I believe so that no one would open it to set out, and then there's tape over the portion of writing that Nancy penned in blue ink. Otherwise, it is excellent!! It measures 9 1/2" wide x 7 1/4" tall. You won't be disappointed to add this to your early Ephemera collection of Seasonal Die-Cut Cards! I will pack it carefully between cardboard so that it doesn't get bent during mail travel.
