SALE Twisted Handle Barbed Spear Sterling Silver Mote Olive Spoon with reticulated SHELL bowl!
Here's a wonderful sterling silver 10" Olive spoon with a twisted handle and fluted bowl, plus stars and flower petals or leaf cut outs. It has a barbed spear for stabbing the olives. I had to ask the difference in a Mote and an Olive spoon, and another silver expert on Ruby Lane told me that the Olive spoon was usually barbed at the end.
This specialty spoon for olives is just one example of many sterling silver serving pieces and flatware that I purchased from the estate of a long time Antique dealer here. The bowl is 1 3/4" long and has such a delicate, pretty look to it. Perfect for letting the juices drain through those pretty little cut outs! There is no maker's mark that I have been able to find, just "STERLING." However, I read that most of these are English made. If you love having the special "extras" in your flatware, this is a great one that would easily go with lots of different patterns. You won't be disappointed to add this to your collection of sterling silver. I am also adding a picture that shows many of the silver pieces I've bought from the same collection. If you see something you like, but it isn't listed "yet," please ask. It may take me awhile to get everything in my shop.
I am always happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping, so please be sure to let me know if you are interested in other items I have listed.
Thanks so much for shopping with me, and God Bless You! May we honor Him in all we say and do!
Something special you're looking for? Please ask, as I love the hunt!
