SALE PADUCAH, KY CITY PHOTO EXALL ADVERTISEMENT PHOTOGRAPH!
Take a look at this wonderful City Scape Advertising matted photo card from the JOS. K. EXALL 7 CO. Wholesale Produce And Commission, found in a Paducah, KY Estate. I was told that this business was in Paducah, but not positive of that information. When I tried to research, I came up with another Exall gentleman whose parents were from Paducah, from the Civil War period. There is an EXALL LANE in Paducah, KY as well, but have not been able to tie these together, so perhaps you will know this from your family genealogy.
I love the old store fronts with the advertising names painted on the building. This old warehouse also advertises Flour, Provisions, Beans, Cheese, Etc., as well as Apples, Bananas, Vegetables, Green & Dried, and Fruits, ETC. This photo has what looks like 6 business men and one black American worker in the photo. Also present is an old wagon well, and a barrel that appears to be leaking. In front of them, you can see a brick or cobblestone street next to the sidewalk.
If you love old city photos, or you have perhaps this name EXALL in your family genealogy line, this is an excellent photo card for you. It is solidly matted to a heavy black cardboard, but I find no photographer's name on this one. The black and white photo is 4 1/8" x 6 1/8" and the black mat is 8" x 10." This is a great one to add to your collection of old cabinet cards and advertising photos!
