SALE Art Deco Designed Monet Demi-Parure Brooch and Bracelet from 1980's
Take a look at this stunning Art Deco designed Monet Demi-Parure featuring a bracelet and brooch made with exquisite crystal rhinestones, marcasites and either glass or enamel black stones. The black enamel or glass stones look like onyx, but from what I have read, they are probably enamel.
The Monet marking followed by a copyright symbol tells that these were made after 1955. In the 1980's, Monet made jewelry designed after Art Deco era pieces, and I feel like this set is probably from the mid-1980's when the production took on the look of Art Deco, but that is just my best guess. The previous owner paid over $100 for this high quality costume jewelry pair by Monet. I saw a "similar" brooch alone sell for $68 on another costume jewelry venue, but this listing is for both pieces.
The beautiful bracelet has 5 links, as does Juliana bracelets, and each of the black sets are surrounded by a high quality silver plating of some kind, accented with sparkling round rhinestones, as well as what looks like tinier rhinestones mixed in with marcasites. It measures 7 1/4" from end to end.
The brooch/pin may be worn however you wish, but it appears to have been designed to wear diagonally, making a diamond shaped large black stone adorned with the same luscious stones as the bracelet. From side to side diagonally, it measures app. 1 7/8" across, although it looks larger than that.
This beautiful demi-parure is heavy, and is in excellent condition! If you love Art Deco jewelry, but would rather pay Monet costume jewelry prices, this is a perfect choice for you!
