Christmas Postcard Sale Early Embossed Signed, Pretty Lady.
To look so simple, there's a lot going on with this beautiful early 1900's embossed and signed Christmas postcard. There's a pretty lady in red with a white fur collar and gloves, presented like a picture inside a heart frame with mistletoe hanging over her head. The whole card is framed with large red and green poinsettias, and in a pretty font, you find the simple message, "A Happy Christmas." This postcard is signed, however, I am unable to read the name.
The postcard was addressed to Jane Rhoads of Solon, Ohio, and a message was written, but the card was never postally used. I believe the date in her message says Dec. 23, 1914, but it may be 1904. Perhaps this was sent from Downton Abbey. :) The lady in the picture could pass as one of the family members on the set.
