From the early 1900's here is another embossed Patriotic Decoration Day postcard published by Raphael Tuck, with Abraham Lincoln being memorialized. The card was made in Germany. Lincoln's birthday is in February, so this would also be a good souvenir to remember his special day. This card has a bust of Lincoln with a laurel wreath around it, and an American Flag draped above and around the bust. The stand that the bust set on almost reminds me of his stovepipe hat! The words at the top read, "He lives in endless fame. All honor to his patriot name." And at the bottom, "Abraham Lincoln, Born 1809, Died 1863.
This postcard has been written on in pencil, but has not been postally used, and it is in great condition, especially to be 100 years old! I purchased this from a large collection of early 1900's postcards. You won't be disappointed to add this one to your collection.
