Rare studio decorated Limoges plate, hand painted with pink and yellow roses on blue, lavender, pink, yellow, peach, and green grounds, and finished with a bright gold rim. The plate measures 8 1/2" in diameter and is marked J. P. L. (Limoges) France, used by Jean Pouyat in 1891 and studio decorator mark Claremore Art Studios H. P. Hand Painted with an artist's palette. I have been unable to identify the studio further and I have never seen the mark before. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or wear to the gold.
