Beautiful tall handled pitcher or ewer, hand painted all the way around the piece with magenta, pink, and white water lilies and gold floral sprays against a blue "pond". The rest of the piece is covered with gold enamel raised flowers, with a gold handle and gold moriage beading around the scalloped base. It stands 9 1/4" tall and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks but some gold wear to the handle, base, and rim of the spout. Unmarked early Nippon circa 1890.
