Rosenthal antique Art Nouveau 20-piece chocolate set, hand painted with pink roses, trailing stems, and heavy gold. Molded gold ribbon handle, gold open pierced finial, and heavy gold rim and spout. Exquisitely painted on powder blue, peach, pink, yellow, and green grounds with most pieces signed by the artist, Reynolds. The chocolate pot is in very good condition with a faint, short hairline near the base (pictured) and a shallow nibble on the base that is not too noticeable since there is no loss of color. There are eight chocolate cups in excellent condition with no damage, losses, or gold wear, and eight saucers also in excellent condition with no damage, losses, or wear to the gold. Two of the ten cups are not perfect, one has a short hairline and the other has a rim chip, both are pictured in the last two photos. The chocolate pot is marked R.C. Versailles Bavaria, used by Philip Rosenthal & Co. starting in 1901, and the cups and saucers are marked for Herman Ohme, Silesia, used starting in 1882.
