Haviland Limoges set of 5 seafood plates, each one hand painted with different underwater scenes. The artist has painted purple spiny sea urchins, green and yellow sea cucumber, kelp, yellow starfish, limpets, mussels, cowrie shells and other sea shells, and finished each plate with a gold sea shell motif, with gold kelp branching out from gold scrolls, and gold rims. The plates are 8 1/2" in diameter, and are all in excellent condition with no damage or losses. The gold shell motif is worn on two of the plates. Each plate is marked Haviland over France, (Mark 12) used starting in 1893.
