Fabulous Limoges large studio decorated charger, hand painted with a thick, wide border of gold and intricately painted with turquoise swags, shells, and flowers and black fretted lattice penwork around the inner edge. The charger has a ruffled, scalloped rim and center medallion framed by tiny gold flowers. It measures 13 1/2" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no damage or losses and no discernable wear to to the extravagant gold. Marked with factory underglaze mark Limoges France with a star, a mark used by Coiffe from 1891-1914, and with overglaze mark LS&S Limoges France in a circle, a mark used by Lewis Straus & Sons starting in the 1890's. France, circa 1900.
