Limoges nut dish or tray, studio hand painted with a red, yellow, and white rose against a green, blue, yellow, and peach ground. The dish is painted around the edge with a wide, thick border of gold. Signed by studio artist, Ferrand. Good condition with no damage or losses and no wear to the generous gold. It measures 6 7/8" x 5 3/8" and is 1 1/4" tall. Marked underglaze with Limoges Coronet France with a crown, a mark used by George Borgfeldt (Mark 1) used from 1906 until 1920 and with overglaze studio decorating mark of P.M. Mavaleix, PM DE M with Limoges France, a mark used from 1908 until 1914.
