Antique sawdust filled pincushion with a Japanese composition doll in a basket. Hand painted face with nice detail, this example is one of the earlier pincushions made. The basket is 3 1/4" in diameter and stands 2 5/8" tall. The basket and doll are in very good condition, there is some fraying of the red fabric covering in the front. No marks, circa 1920.
