Rare to find Haviland Limoges luncheon set. Larger individual sandwich tray with molded cup well. These are very difficult to find anymore. The ornate sandwich tray or saucer is hand painted with lovely pink roses, rosebuds, green and delicate red new leaves. Signed by the porcelain artist, J.H.B, and dated '95. (1895). The scalloped tray or saucer has molded flourishes and is accented with gold. The cup is a blushing pink, it was with the saucer, but is unmarked and could be a later addition. It does fit in the molded cup well and is nice for display. The saucer is marked H & Co., L, France. (Haviland & Co., Limoges, France). The luncheon tray measures 8 1/4" x 7", the cup stands 21/2" tall with a 3" diameter at the rim. Both pieces are in excellent condition with a hint of gold wear on the tray. Circa 1895.
