Exquisite antique French Limoges porcelain ice cream set, hand painted by famous and well listed Limoges artist, Roby. Pink, mauve, and white wild roses on large ice cream tray and six matching individual ice cream plates. Roby has worked his magnificent artistry on each and every piece, all seven pieces are individually signed by him and each bears the T & V (Tressemann & Vogt) Limoges France mark, circa 1892-1907. The entire set is in impeccable condition with no chips, cracks, or hairlines and barely a hint of wear to the heavy Roman coin gold that Roby has made lavish use of. Roby has outlined the gold border around the tray and each scalloped tray with his trademark French pen work, outlining scrolling leaves, and setting the gold off to perfection. The ice cream tray measures 16 1/2" in length and 10 3/4" wide. Each dessert plate is 6 1/2" in diameter. Simply fabulous example of hand painted French artistry by renowned Limoges porcelain painter, Roby.
