Stunning antique Limoges French porcelain vase, hand painted with gorgeous yellow poppies and topped with a heavy gold pierced collar. Signed by the artist, LEH and dated 1898, this piece was produced by the French porcelain factory of Jean Pouyat. This large bulbous vase is the largest size of this mold produced by Pouyat. The vase is in excellent condition but does have some honest gold wear around the top rim, no chips, cracks, or hairlines. The gold is original and was heavily applied. The pierced collar around the top of the vase is a highly coveted mold, as the intricate piercing was often damaged. The vase stands 6" tall with a 24" circumference. The gold collar is 1 1/2" wide and has a 4" diameter across the top of the vase. The quality of the painting is very fine and professional.
