Stunning antique French porcelain plate hand painted with luscious, ripe cherries and beautiful green and brown leaves against a soft pink and cream background. The artist then went even further, embellishing the painting with trailing gold spider webs (eight in all) and gold flowers and leaves all around the plate, in rich Roman coin gold detail. To finish the piece, the artist gilded the edge in more gold. The artist has signed the piece in the same coin gold with her initials, S.M.A. The plate is in pristine condition with no damage or losses and no discernible wear to the lavish gold. It measures 8 1/2 " in diameter and has the Bawo & Dotter Elite Limoges, France factory mark, used starting in 1900. Very well painted and sure to please.
