Magnificent Limoges cattleya orchid tea or dresser tray. Painted in sumptuous colors and signed by master porcelain painter, Paul Putzki. Putzki is widely regarded as one of the foremost china painters of his day, he also taught the art of china painting on porcelain to the very rich and famous, among his students was the wife of President Harrison. Putzki has painted this tray with the queen of all flowers, the exotic cattleya orchid, using a superb color palette that is gorgeous, lush, and beautiful beyond compare. The tray has gold gilded handles on either side, with a gold rim framing the portrait of orchids. The tray is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines, the gold is excellent, this tray is a showpiece, a must have for the serious collector.
