This Shell Edge English Creamware shallow bowl with a pierced and molded edge is a stunner! 7 ¾” in diameter and 1 ½” deep, the bowl may have been a tray for a round tureen/dish because of the slightly indented center. But it certainly could be a stand-alone bowl. The molded edge is extremely crisp, and the piercing elaborate. There are no maker’s marks, but it dates from the 1800-1820 period, most likely 1810. It is in excellent condition: no cracks, lines or restorations, only some very minor edge nicks and a very small (less than ¼”) and very shallow edge chip. A really nice piece of English creamware.
