A tall English Pearlware Mug or Tankard with underglaze Pratt Flower and Leaf Decoration. The mug dates c. 1820. It measures 4 ¾” tall and 3 1/8” in diameter. The handle is pulled and the glaze is strong. The mug is in good condition with no major faults. There are 5 very small rim chips, which are mostly visible on the inside of the rim; the largest is less than ¼” across. There is also a very faint hairline, extending down from the top edge about 1”. The colors are typical, subtle Pratt colors and the enameling well-done. No markings except for a hand-written “x” on the bottom, which I assume is an artisan’s mark.
